Hillary Clinton demands video-game smut enquiry

Thursday, July 14, 2005

Hillary Clinton has joined the controversy over a mod for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas called “Hot Coffee” which disables the game’s built-in censorship mode, allowing players to participate in graphic sex mini-games within the game.

The ESRB have continued to state that they are not intending to take any action against Take2 Interactive (the game’s producers).

Patricia Vance, the president of the ESRB, said that the author of the modification “actually had to change the underlying code [of the game]. It’s not a cheat, It’s not an Easter egg… Game developers have been known to deactivate parts of their code without removing them from the finished products. Oftentimes, changes are toward the end of development, and they program workarounds.”

His company recently sparked controversy after buying the rights to publish The Jewel of Medina, a work of fiction by Sherry Jones depicting the Muslim prophet Muhammad and his child bride, Aisha.

The bombing, which occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning, led to the evacuation of the £2.5 million property in Lonsdale Square. Three men, aged 22, 30 and 40, were arrested at 2:25am BST by armed officers, two in Lonsdale Square, and one after being stopped near Angel tube station.

Police comments suggested that the trio had been under surveillance, and that they had advance knowledge of the plot and simply waited for the arsonists to strike, before arresting them.

On Saturday, a woman was arrested for obstructing police during their searches of four addresses – two in Walthamstow, and two in Ilford and Forest Gate.

Speaking earlier this month, Mr Rynja said that “The Jewel of Medina has become an important barometer of our time. As an independent publishing company, we feel strongly that we should not be afraid of the consequences of debate.” Ms Jones commented that she did not intend for her novel to be offensive to Islam. She noted that she “[has] deliberately and consciously written respectfully about Islam and Muhammad.” She “envisaged that [her] book would be a bridge builder” between Islam and the western world.

Shaving, Creams, And Laser Hair Removal In Albuquerque

byAlma Abell

It’s no fun having hair grow in places you don’t want it to grow. Unwanted hair can be unsightly and a very distracting problem to have. Because men tend to naturally have more body hair than women, they’re often more okay with hair growing in different place. However, the majority of women who have hair growing in random places can’t stand it and simply want it removed. Women often experience hair growing between the eyebrows, along the upper lip, the chin, hands or toes, and along the legs as well. Much of this growth is due to genetics and hormones. Thankfully, there are several options you can use to get rid of this hair.

Most people opt to simply shave or pluck their unwanted hair. Shaving has to be one of the simplest and easiest ways to handle growing hair in unwanted areas. Use the shaving method to remove large portions of hair, such as the hair that grows on your legs and arms. Both electric shavers and razors can be used to due this. However, because these methods can scrape the skin, they can cause ingrown hairs to form.

There are a number of hair removal creams that are available over-the-counter. These creams are comprised of chemicals that work to dissolve the hair along the skin. Hair removal creams can be used practically anywhere on the body (i.e. face, legs, arms, back, feet, etc.). However, because of how harsh these chemicals can be, experts advise against using it on areas with sensitive skin.

Laser Hair Removal in Albuquerque tends to be one of the most effective and most popular ways to indefinitely remove unwanted hair. A laser hair removal expert will use a series of pulsating beams of light to evaporate the hair bulbs along the skin. Removing the hair at this level helps to refrain it from growing for a longer period of time. These treatments are expensive and will require several sessions.

If you have unwanted hair, you should consider speaking to the Western Dermatology Consultants Albuquerque has available. You can schedule a meeting with a dermatologist to see the best way to remove this unsightly hair to get the nice smooth skin you’re looking for.

Saving Money}

Saving Money

by

Carson DanfieldAt some stage you will want to begin saving money to cover costs that will be occurring in the future, however until you have paid off your debt that is costing you money in interest and penalties it is not wise to save money. You need to reduce and eliminate your debt thereby cutting off the drain on your income that is required to cover the interest costs and by doing so you will be gaining a lot more benefit than trying to build up a surplus of funds in your account. You will always earn less money from the interest of funds invested than it will be costing you for the interest you are paying on your debts.Because of this if you were to save money and not pay off debts it would be a backward step as it is in effect costing you the difference between the after-tax interest you could be earning on your investment money and the full amount of interest that you are paying on your debt.In addition to paying interest on your debt often you will be missing out on discounts for early payment of accounts and this is an additional ‘saving’ in effect that you will be losing out on by not making payments on time. The best action you can always take is to reduce debt where possible unless that debt is associated with an income earning asset or something that you will make a capital gain on over and above the expenditure that you have to make on the interest by having that debt.Once you have cleared all your debt then you can start thinking about making savings but it is not a good business decision to do that before the due time even though it might make you feel good.Eliminate your most costly debts first, the rest of your debts second and then start saving your excess funds when all else has been taken care of.

Be it football, baseball, soccer, swimming, skiing or surfing, each of these sport needs different sporting goods and kits. And that is not all, for any sporting person, owning good quality ones are very important, that would set them apart from the rest. But where do you find them? Of course in sports shops right? But there are not many sport stores that sell good quality stuffs. You really need to look for it.

You should be choosing a shop that is well equipped with all kinds of sporty products. That would include sporting goods of both winter and summer. If this is your first time, then these tips would help you to locate the best shop from where you can get quality sporting goods:

Firstly, the best idea would be to search online. On the net there would be a large number of options to suit you. However, you need to be sensible enough to study each website thoroughly so that you can have all the information with you before you take a decision.

Second, some shops have online facilities for ordering goods. Take the opportunity to order goods online so that you can get them delivered to you in time. The shops might charge a small fee for the delivery. But this would prove to be very convenient and time effective for you.

Third, you should always ask other people who are also into sports, about some good references. Ask them from where they buy stuffs and what they prefer. Recommendations work most of the times. Just make sure to do a re-check on these shops that are recommended so that you know that you are going for the right one.

Last, remember, even though you might have to pay a little more, you should not hesitate if you find a shop who sells remarkably good quality sporting goods. Sport products should always be of quality. Go for the branded ones, especially if you are a professional.

Austrian police find dozens dead inside lorry

Thursday, August 27, 2015

Austrian police today found an estimated 20–50 decomposing corpses in an apparently abandoned lorry.

Roadworkers who spotted the vehicle, which had been there since yesterday at least, alerted police. Responding officers found it full of corpses. The lorry is on the so-called “Eastern Motorway”, the A4, close to the Hungarian border. It was on the hard shoulder between Neusiedl and Parndorf, closer to Parndorf.

The victims are thought to have suffocated. Police are seeking the driver. The Krone published an image of a non-articulated food lorry on the hard shoulder, which they report is the vehicle in question. The photo shows a pool of dark liquid on the ground beside the vehicle.

Video from a passing motorist shows at least one helicopter on-scene. The truck, which has pictures of meat on the side, shows branding for Slovakian food firm Hyza. Earlier today the company’s website sported an apparent anti-immigration graphic, which has since been removed.

Wikinews got in touch with Hyza. “We are truly sorry about [the] tragedy” they told us in a statement. They said they have checked GPS trackers on their fleet and all their vehicles remain in Slovakia. The statement says the lorry in question was one of 21 Hyza vehicles sold on last year. It was then sold again and exported to Hungary, where it is now registered. Hyza told us the new owners have not changed the branding on the vehicle. According to the Bild newspaper, Agrofert — the parent company of Hyza — said in a statement the new owners were required to do so.

Hyza says they will “actively cooperate with Slovak police”, and “express [their] sincere condolences to the bereaved families.”

Interior Minister Johanna Mikl-Leitner called it “a dark day” and called for European Union-wide measures to protect immigrant refugees and tackle human traffickers. Neighbouring Hungary is constructing a border fence across its entire frontier with Serbia. Yesterday alone saw a record 3,241 attempts to enter Hungary illegally, according to authorities there.

Conflict in Syria and other parts of the world has led refugees to Europe. Once inside, they can move freely inside the Schengen Area, which covers most of the EU.

Austrian police earlier this week arrested three motorists suspected of people smuggling. One driver is accused of moving 34 people, ten of them children, into Austria from Serbia. The group were left by the roadside near Bruck an der Leitha and reported struggling to breathe in the van.
